Ông David Jackson cho biết, tàu đường sắt Cát Linh – Hà Đông vận hành từ ga Cát Linh đến ga Yên Nghĩa với chiều dài 13,05 km, gồm 12 ga trên lộ trình: Cát Linh – La Thành – Thái Hà – Láng – Đại học Quốc gia – vành đai 3 – Thanh Xuân – Bến xe Hà Đông – trung tâm Hà Đông – La Khê – Văn Khê – Bến xe Hà Đông mới và khu đề-pô tại Ba La. Theo khảo sát của Colliers Việt Nam, hiện nay trên trục đường này đã có khoảng hơn 100 dự án bất động sản đã và đang được phát triển. Nhiều dự án dường như đã bị thị trường “lãng quên” từ lâu cũng đang thu hút được sự quan tâm trở lại nhờ sự khởi động của dự án này.
Tại TP.HCM, mặc dù chưa đi vào hoạt động với nhiều lần “lỡ hẹn”, tuyến đường sắt đô thị Bến Thành – Suối Tiên (metro số 1) đã tạo ra một làn sóng đầu tư bất động sản bao quanh, từ những dự án nhà ở đến các trung tâm thương mại sầm uất.
